Tour of Britain - PruTour

Following on from the Kellogg's Tour in 1998, the PruTour provided exciting and challenging racing around the UK, attracting some of the best Teams and riders to the week-long event, together with good brand reinforcement for Prudential, the races main sponsor.

Through faultless planning and organisation the PruTour took in towns, cities and villages across England, Scotland and Wales bringing the spectacle of world-class cycling right to people's doorsteps, together with a carnival atmosphere at each stage start and finish.

A hundred and eight riders representing 18 elite professional and national Olympic teams lined-up to tackle 732 miles of British roads (1168km) over seven days.
